1) Defining your technical strategy
The technical strategy of a company is a critical element (perhaps the most critical) of any web startup. There are many choices to be made and many options available for each choice. These decisions are not easy to make and often appear daunting if you don’t have technical knowledge.
I can help you both choose and understand the technical options that are available for your startup. For every decision that I suggest you, I will also provide a detailed rationale and I’ll be sure that you understand it fully, even if you don’t have any technical background. I love explaining technology to anyone who is interested, and since you’re starting a startup, I assume you’ll be very interested!
2) Interacting with your designers & programmers
If you have trouble communicating with your tech team – whether you’re working with employees or freelancers, current or prospective – I can help you bridge the gap.
This goes both ways: I’ll help you understand better what your designers & programmers are telling you – but I’ll also help them understand your needs and requirements as well. I can interact directly with them too, but the most valuable thing I can do is to provide you with some skills for improving your communication with them.
I can also help you select potential candidates and write bids for freelancers.
3) Putting your technical vision into words
When presenting to investors or talking to prospective customers, you’ll be often asked about your company’s technological differential: how is your technology better than that of your competitors? Why should they choose your product and not others’?
I can help you define and write answers to these questions, adapting them to any context: business plan, presentation for investors, blog post, institutional brochure, etc. When discussing the technical merits of your company, I’ll focus on the point of view of your end user (reliability, usability, business advantages), while also providing meaningful technological information for those who are interested.

Since I prefer to work with few customers at the same time, the minimum price tag of any consulting service is $500 – but if you really want me to work on something smaller, write me and I’ll think about it : ).
Since you’re starting a startup, your money probably is in very short supply, so my offer will make sense only if you’re fully satisfied with what you get. That’s why I offer the following terms to my customers:
- A free Skype session to get to know each other.
- 50% of payment up-front and the remaining 50% one week after delivery.
